The Ease Keys are designed to be simple movement, breath, and posture practices that you can perform anywhere at any time. But if you don’t use them, they aren’t much help. Many of you who have attended classes have asked for support to remember to practice your self-regulation. So we have created this collection of all 13 Ease Keys to simplify your practice. It is freely available to everyone who has attended classes. You can access it now through the WeAreTheRemedy.Love private community.
These are short recordings demonstrating each of the exercises for two to three minutes each. There is video, audio, and a written script for each of the Ease Keys. You are welcome to download the audio or the written script so you can have them readily accessible for your practice. This will be much simpler for you to teach the exercises to friends and colleagues. You can just read the script for a quick stress-relief break, or as a movement break during a meeting.
Reviewing these short videos is a great way to remind yourself which practices were most helpful for you when you were in class. It is also an opportunity to add an Ease Key to another self-care habit you have, to make it even more effective. This has been referred to as “habit stacking” and it is a great way to boost the restorative capacity of your nervous system. For example, I like to use the Feel Your Body Breathing Ease Key during my morning meditation. I also use the Set Your Seat exercise every time I drive. I practice this whenever I put my seat belt on.
Which Ease Keys work best for you? Please join WeAreTheRemedy.Love community and share which is your favorite Ease Key. This is a private online learning community to empower you to learn about your body-mind and how to care for you and the people you love. We created this community of practice space as another tool to support creating habits of ease. We hope to see you there!
